AN INSPECTOR CALLS

The Inspector Calls Project is structured around five integrated components designed to ensure providers are fully prepared for inspection under the current Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and its evolving inspection methodology, approach and scorecard-based judgements. 1. Inspection Framework Health Check – “Where are you now?” | 2. Pre-Inspection Action Plan Development | 3. Application of the Inspection Toolkit | 4. Coaching for Senior Leadership, Advisory Board Members and Tutors | 5. Shadow Nominee Process.  Overall, the project ensures that leadership, governance, and delivery teams are strategically aligned with Ofsted’s inspection framework, methodology, and judgement scorecards, enabling the organisation to clearly demonstrate quality, compliance, and learner impact during inspection.

BID AND TENDER WRITING

 Our highly experienced and successful bid and tender team works across a range of funding routes to secure the right investment to support your curriculum offer, organisational growth, and alignment with national, regional, and local skills priorities and employment needs.

We provide a comprehensive range of services, including retainer-based bid and tender support, bid and tender tracking, expert review services, DPS/FPS application support, and grant and innovation fund writing—ensuring your proposals are competitive, strategically aligned, and positioned for success.

AN AUDITOR CALLS PROGRAMME

 Can your organisation afford high error rates, a DfE/ESFA or Combined Authority action plan—or worse, funding clawback? If not, an Auditor Calls Programme (or selected elements of it) could be the solution. Acting as an independent assurance and audit gatekeeper, the programme helps ensure compliance with ESFA funding rules and regulatory requirements. Through structured audit calls, evidence reviews, and compliance monitoring, it strengthens internal controls and governance by embedding consistent, timely assurance across delivery.

This enables providers to identify and address risks early, reduce funding rule errors and audit exposure, ensure evidence is complete and audit-ready, and maintain compliant operational practices—providing proactive assurance rather than reactive correction.

GOVERNANCE TO GO...

This project will establish a robust governance framework to ensure the provider meets the oversight, accountability and compliance expectations of Ofsted, the Education and Skills Funding Agency and the Department for Education. It will develop an effective governance board, implement a practical governance toolkit and, where required, provide Board Chair support to embed high-quality governance practices. The project will establish or strengthen a governance board with appropriate independent expertise, clear terms of reference and defined accountability for quality of education, financial oversight, safeguarding and organisational performance. Governance arrangements will align with sector guidance and enable effective strategic challenge and support to senior leadership. Governors will monitor key priorities including learner outcomes, quality of provision, financial sustainability, funding compliance, safeguarding, equality and employer engagement. Impact will include a fully operational board, clear governance documentation and reporting systems, regular strategic meetings with evidenced challenge, and the introduction of performance dashboards and risk management processes. These measures will strengthen accountability, support continuous improvement and improve readiness for inspection and funding audit, resulting in a sustainable governance model that embeds effective oversight and ensures ongoing regulatory compliance.

EXECUTIVE COACHING

Working closely with the executive team or individual leaders, this coaching programme strengthens leadership capability and strategic impact. Each participant develops a tailored CPD plan, including opportunities such as shadowing or mentoring other executive teams, aligned with organisational priorities. The programme links leadership development to clear KPIs, ensuring measurable improvements in decision-making, collaboration and strategic delivery. In doing so, it supports a stronger, more aligned executive team and helps the organisation achieve its vision, goals and strategic objectives.

MOTS | HEALTH CHECKS | CASE SAMPLING | LEARNING WALKS GOVERNANCE TO GO...

We offer a comprehensive range of quality assurance activities designed to provide independent scrutiny, external validation and practical assurance that your programme or initiative is progressing as intended. Our approach combines rigorous assessment with constructive challenge, helping you identify strengths, address risks early and maintain momentum towards your objectives.

Each programme is supported by experienced specialist consultants with deep sector knowledge. They work collaboratively with your team to review progress, assess evidence and benchmark performance against recognised standards and best practice. At the conclusion of the process, you will receive: A structured, evidence-based report, a clear presentation for your Governance Board and a practical improvement plan. 

INNOVATION AND TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMME

This programme supports learning and skills providers to explore and respond to the opportunities available across the sector—many of which are increasingly necessary to remain competitive, sustainable and responsive to changing policy, funding and employer needs. It enables organisations to identify growth opportunities, strengthen their strategic direction and develop more resilient and innovative approaches to delivering high-quality provision.

Working closely with the senior leadership team is fundamental to the programme’s success and long-term impact. Their engagement ensures that insights gained are embedded within organisational strategy and translated into meaningful action. As a result, providers benefit from improved strategic focus, stronger organisational resilience and greater confidence to pursue new opportunities—helping secure their future while delivering positive outcomes for learners, employers and the wider community.

TEACHING AND LEARNING - THE CRAFT

Teaching and Learning – The Craft is a focused professional development programme designed for education and skills providers committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences. Aligned with the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework, the programme supports practitioners to strengthen teaching, learning and assessment through evidence-informed pedagogy and effective classroom practice. The programme recognises that excellent teaching is a craft developed through reflection, practice and the application of proven strategies. It equips educators, trainers and leaders with the skills, knowledge, tools and practical resources needed to enhance learner engagement, support progress and deliver high-quality curriculum experiences. Participants will explore practical approaches that align with Ofsted expectations for quality of education, enabling them to confidently demonstrate effective pedagogy and impact on learner outcomes. Crucially, the programme provides ready-to-use strategies and resources that can be embedded immediately into practice, supporting continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.
